Privacy Policy
Influente & Peculiar Unipessoal Lda, which operates the Natwine Aficionados shop, is the controller of the personal data collected on this website. This policy explains what data we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with and what rights you have over it, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — the General Data Protection Regulation — and Portuguese Law no. 58/2019 of 8 August.
Any change to this policy will be published on this page.
Who we are and how to reach us

What data we collect
– Data you give us: name, billing and delivery address, e-mail address, telephone number, tax identification number, your customer account details, the messages you send us and your subscription preferences.
– Purchase data: products ordered, amounts, dates, payment method chosen and order status. We neither receive nor store your card number — that data is collected directly by the payment service provider.
– Technical data about your visit: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and where the visit came from. Site statistics are collected on our own server, and the IP address is anonymised and hashed before being stored, so it cannot identify the visitor.
– Consent data: the choice you make in the cookie notice and the date you made it, so that we can show we have respected it.
What we use your data for, and on what legal basis
– To process and deliver your orders, issue the invoice and provide customer support. Basis: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
– To comply with legal obligations, in particular tax and invoicing obligations. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
– To send the newsletter and communications about products, campaigns and offers, when you subscribe to them. Basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
– To measure the audience of the site and understand which pages are useful, with statistics collected on our own server and anonymised IP addresses. Basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the shop (Article 6(1)(f)).
– Advertising and campaign measurement through Google and Meta. Basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Without that consent, these technologies are not loaded.
– To prevent fraud and protect the security of the site, of accounts and of orders. Basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep your data
– Invoices and other documents of tax relevance: ten years, as required by law.
– Customer account data: for as long as the account exists. If you ask for the account to be deleted, we erase the data that is not needed to meet legal obligations.
– Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, which you may do at any time, in your account or through the link at the bottom of each e-mail.
– Record of your cookie choice: kept in your browser for one year, or until you delete it.
– Visit statistics: kept in anonymised form, which does not allow the visitor to be identified.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data, nor pass it to third parties for their own purposes. We share only what is necessary, and only with those who process the data on our behalf, under contract and bound by confidentiality:
– Website hosting and backups: WP Engine, a web hosting provider based in the United States.
– Delivery of the shop’s e-mails: Google.
– Invoicing and reporting to the Portuguese Tax Authority: a certified Portuguese invoicing software provider.
– MB Way payments: a Portuguese payment services provider.
– Credit and debit card payments: the payment service provider shown on the checkout page.
– Delivery of orders: the carrier indicated at the time of purchase, which receives only the data needed for delivery.
– Advertising and campaign measurement, only if you have given consent: Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.
We may also disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the providers listed above are companies based, or with infrastructure, outside the European Union, in particular in the United States of America. In those cases the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, namely standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and, where applicable, the adequacy decision covering the EU–US data protection framework.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file the website stores on your device to recognise your session and remember your preferences. On this site, cookies are divided into categories:
– Strictly necessary cookies: they allow the site to work, the basket to keep your products and your session to stay open. They cannot be switched off, because without them the shop does not function.
– Third-party advertising and measurement cookies: these are only installed if you accept them. They are what allow us to measure how well our Google and Meta campaigns are working.
The first time you visit the site you are shown a notice where you can accept everything, refuse everything, or choose category by category. Until you accept, no advertising or measurement technology is loaded. You may change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the footer of the site, or by deleting the cookies in your browser.
Advertising and measurement
When you accept third-party cookies, this site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn activates the Google Ads tags, and the Meta pixel. They are used to measure how many people reach the shop from each campaign and what they do here, and to show you more relevant advertising. These technologies may collect your IP address, device identifiers and the pages you visit on this site.
If you refuse, or simply do not answer the notice, none of this is loaded and your visit is not reported to Google or to Meta.
Security
The connection to the site is encrypted on every page. The site is protected by an application firewall and by access monitoring, and regular backups are taken. Payments are processed by certified providers, without your card details passing through our systems.
No system is entirely immune. Should a personal data breach ever occur that is likely to result in a high risk to you, you will be informed, as required by the GDPR.
Your rights
In relation to your personal data, you have the right to:
– Know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy of it.
– Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
– Ask us to erase it, where it is no longer necessary or where you withdraw the consent it rested on.
– Ask us to restrict its processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
– Receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format, or ask us to transmit it to another organisation.
– Withdraw, at any time, any consent you have given, without affecting what was done before on the basis of it.
To exercise any of these rights, simply write to info@natwineaficionados.com. We reply within one month, extendable where the request is particularly complex, in which case we will tell you.
Complaints
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, at www.cnpd.pt. We would nevertheless be grateful if you contacted us first — in most cases it is quicker to settle the matter directly.
Minors
This shop sells alcoholic beverages and is intended exclusively for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you become aware that a minor has given us personal data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
Intellectual property and content
All intellectual property rights in the software and content available through this site belong to Influente & Peculiar Unipessoal Lda, or to its suppliers, and are protected by law.
Customers may save, print or display the content of this site for personal use only. Publication, manipulation, distribution or reproduction, in any format, of any content of this site, or its association with any business, is not permitted without written authorisation.
