On the nose it shows peppery notes and black fruit. On the palate it is vigorous and earthy, with firm tannins and subtle herbaceous flavours, yet the whole is balanced by a vibrant acidity that gives it a long, lingering finish. It is, without doubt, an excellent choice for the table. Decanting is recommended.
